In the halcyon days when Dick Bradsell was at the helm, The Player really was the place to be.   It was here with the iconic monogram P sprinkled liberally underfoot and the bar paraphernalia taking its reference points from the lush tiles reminiscent of petrified wood that the widely regarded cocktail maestro conjured up sublime creations that had the style cognoscenti queuing around the block.

Some things never last forever though. Now the address of ‘a soho-based boutique sound studio’! Oh well, all good things n all that…
